A successful therapy session depends on how much you like & trust your therapist.

I want to be transparent ABOUT who I am so you can decide if we are the right fit.

Therapy is a relationship

My job is to help you figure things out, but sometimes it feels just like catching up with someone you know and trust.

In our first session, we will talk about the reasons you chose to begin therapy. I will also review your intake paperwork. I will as you questions so that I can get to know you better, and you can feel free to ask me any questions you may have.

At the the beginning it may seem like we are “chitchatting.” But, we are doing very important work as we are building the foundation for a trusting therapeutic relationship.

I don’t expect you to come in and right away share your most painful, intimate emotions. I may take time, or it might be a relief to do so right away. Either way, it’s up to you.

There is no right or wrong way in therapy. Everyone is on their own journey, and I am honored to take it with you!

Why Choose me?

I believe in therapy and the power of a good therapeutic relationship! It makes all the difference!

Not every therapist is right for every client, and not every client is right for every therapist. BUT when you find the right match, it’s like “WOW, this therapist gets ME!” You finally feel seen, heard and understood.

I open every session by asking you where you would like to begin- because you are the expert on you!

We work collaboratively. In respect of that collaboration, I may challenge you to consider new and different ways to approach the problem to help you find a solution.

I use Adlerian theory to understand what brought you to this place in life and to help guide your growth forward.
