Anxiety and perfectionism

Experiencing some anxiety is normal, and healthy.  However, anxiety can become a burden and impact your ability to accomplish your goals.  You begin to avoid problems rather than confront them.  This is a sign the anxiety has become a problem.  Maybe your have difficulty sleeping, racing thoughts, or deal with perfectionism.

Perfectionism is often connected with anxiety as perfectionists desperately want things to go right in order to avoid catastrophic consequences.  The irony is that holding standards of perfection sets you up to fail because the goal is unrealistic.  What would your life look like if you didn't feel anxious?  If you were not a perfectionist?
